Software to manage database of video clips

There are loads of solutions for managing still images, but I have yet to find something that can do the same for video clips. I have nearly a thousand clips from a variety of cameras. I would like to be able to add key words to each clip and to edit and search metadata where possible. Can anyone recommend anything? Is Adobe Bridge suitable?
