hello, i have a dell inspiron 1520 with windows 7 installed recently. the problem that i have is that i cannot connect my laptop to an external monitor (tv) through a vga cable (that used to work properly on xp). when i switch to pc on my tv the screen is black, windows cannot detect another monitor and if i restart windows the resolution settings are going lower automatically.
this is clearly a driver issue. the question that i have is which driver i need to install?
the configuration on dell.com (by my tag no) is not the same as in device manager. i don't know if i have nvidia geforce 8600 (as stated on dell.com) or a onboard video card.
can anybody support me in this regard.
