How do I do Slow-Motion Video?

Can I somehow get good slow motion with any video camera, or must I have a special one? I'm also interested in some of the combination DSLRs that have video.

What are the parameters of slow motion and how do I achieve it? I would like it as smooth as possible w/o special equipment.

I would say the key to getting good slow motion comes down to a good camera and a good edit program. The better the camera the higher quality the vision will be, that matters when motion effecting vision. If you are using a low quality camera try and have it on sticks and don't move the framing for your slow motion shot. In your edit, motion effect the shot using interpolated fields rather than progressive.
