    arg ! Please answer..., i'm going mad

    Hi, Grandmasters of Divx with Ac3 audio playback

    i need some of your light
    i 've got a problem when playing back movies with AC3 sound
    the movie is jerky (the travellings are very ugly) when AC3 audio filters are installed and return to normal when i remove the filters (and i have no sound, it's normal)

    am i the only one to have this problem (i think not) ?
    why do the AC3 filters impact the playback of the video ?

    my config :

    Athlon XP 1800
    Soltek SL-75DRV5
    Geforce 4 ti4200
    sound blaster live 5.1

    thanks a lot for your answers...

    It might be because of the interleaving of the ac3 and divx streams. I'am no expert on this, but I would suggest using a audio preload of either 250 or 500 ms, and 1 frame interleaving.

    To do this, open the file in nandub, set both video and audio to direct stream copy, select audio->interleaving and set the proper values, and save that as a new file.

        Sorry I have never done a divx/ac3 encoding.

        As I said, I'am no expert on this, sorry.

          YEESSSS !!!!!!! ,i've found it !!!!!!

          i've found some sites specialized with ac3 format, in witch are given the right parameter to mix video and ac3 stream regarding the sampling rate :

          192kb/s -> inteleave audio every 320ms
          224kb/s -> inteleave audio every 256ms
          384kb/s -> inteleave audio every 160ms
          448kb/s -> inteleave audio every 128ms

          with preload of 500ms

          and it works great !!!

          Thanks khp for putting me on the way
