Backup Question

Sorry to put this in general but I can't find a "Backup" forum. I just bought a DVD movie that I want to backup and none of my apps can back it up. It plays just fine and the file structure looks proper Nero Recode gets an error that says "Failed to read from the file VTS_01_1.VOB".

MagicDVD Copier doesn't give an error but nothing happens.

I've never encountered anything like this before and would appreciate any suggestions.
