rp8 but not mediaplayer?

Why do some divx avi movies open up in realplayer,but not in windowsmedia/playa (Error=80040218)?
Is there a codec missing somewhere? Realplayer surely would work fine,but the movies look like slideshows on 64mb ram 500mhz cpu...

check the version of Divx codec...also do you remember if you instal WM player first then you instal the Divx codec?
On my pc I can use both real player and Wm player to watch Divix files...
Also I think you need more power to play video

I got all possible codecs installed (exeptVP3-4)and I didn`t let 411 play 311(got earlier)

WHich version of WM player do you have...
you can try to install WMP againg.....
