Mpeg 2 avi Help Please.

hi there to all. I please need some help when using the mpeg 2 avi program, i load the mpeg2avi.exe file then the mpeg file that needs to be converted and choose a location to where it needs to be saved but when i click on create avi a mini black screen bleeps and goes away, no conversion occurs, only when i clck on preview avi then it shows the movie, it doesnt make the avi. do i have to preview it to create it? how do i create an avi?

try a program called rip it all,its brill and so simple for converting mpegs(vobs)into avi's extracts the audio 2 and then use virtual dub to sync avi with the audio
