    from download to cd

    ok, so I am brand new. I have downloaded Star Wars flicks from Winmx to my computer and now want to burn a cd with that info.
    What do I need to complete this? I have a cd-r and dvd in my system, but want to use my home theatre for the effects.
    Thanx for all help

    Just burn the cd,but it can't exeed 734-735 MB of HD space (Check the properties of the file).The file uses more HD space than it does on a cd.

    You probably can't use your home theater for effects,because (hmmmmm how should I explain it)a DivX file uses mp3 compression for the audio track,and a DVD disc uses multiple digital audio tracks,if I'm not mistaking????

    Hope this helps a little.

      You'll first have to convert the videos to VCD-MPEG1 format (NOT merely MPEG1 format). You can accomplish this with TMPGEnc. Then burn a VCD using NERO.

      It is IMPORTANT to note that:
      A) not all DVD players play VCDs
      and
      B) DVD players are "finicky" about which brands of CD-Rs they'll recognize (as VCDs or anything else). I have had great success using the Prime Peripherals and ArtMedia brands.

      Let us know of your success ;>}
