average speed on direct connect

Hi guys... i would like to know what is the average download speed for a movie on direct connect. because i just change my dialup connection for a cable connection and its not much faster.
what speed on average (Kbs) do you have or how long for a 700Mb file to download.

My average dl speed is 7-12 kbps.

thanks Batman...i have about the same between 5 and 12 Kbs. is there anyway to improve it ? or mybe other website can be faster.?

It depends on which server(s) you connect to. Sometimes, I can get a dl rate of 44 kbps (Very rare though). My friend claims italian hubs are fast

try using a download accelerator like gozilla and d/l a gamedemo or something and see what the total d/l speed is. I use Sattelite and it has registered 350kbs sometimes.
