Mac vs PC

Also will i ever be able to produce good quality versions on movies that i can fit on a CD on my Mac ? Or will i have to use Virtual PC to use the zillions of apps available on PC ?

I'm also intrigued by an AVI movie I dl'd

Converted to .MOV by Divx Doctor ends up at 1.75GB !!!!

The movie looks great w great soundtrack.

The majority (if not all) xvid/divx tools are specifically created for Windows OS'es. It would definately be easier to do xvid/divx/(s)vcd encoding on a PC.

QuickTime Professional and the 3ivx cross platform codec should go a long way toward answering your question...
