Sound doesn´t work on some movies

On some movies, the sound doesn´t work properly or as I should say not at all, movies like ocean´s eleven en blade (the sharereactor, 2 CD version (both movies)). It seems that sharereactor movies do not work, and I would like to know how to solve this problem.

    Thanx
    Olav.

What is the sound format ?
Are you sure you have installed the neccessary codecs?
Try opening the movie in VirtualDub and from File -> FileInfo you can see the sound format.

If you need an codec you should try the nimo codec pack!!!

It's got lot's of codecs and (for me) it works with almost every
      movie!!!

      We all have to learn!!

This sounds like my problem with 'Hart's War' (Counter running at the top of screen.) Same--- "sharereactor". Where can I find the nimo codec pac and how do I install it to work on my Harts War movie. (I tried to get audio info but it said 'unknown' under virtual dub audi info) I have downloaded this many times--just to get the same result, no audio. (video is good and size is around 725,000,)
        thanks

"it said 'unknown' under virtual dub audi info"

If it said (more likely and completely) "Unknown (Tag 2000), that's simply indicative of an AC3 audiostream...

            Setarip:
thanks for the reply. What will that mean? Will it work or is it not audio? Can I get it to run by changing audio setings?
            Thanks

              To Glassguy

You have to install (and register with Windows) the iviaudio.ax filter or one of the many similar .AC3 filters/codecs avialable within the numerous available codec "packs".

If you have a software DVD player (such as WinDVD) already installed, you can play the video with .AC3 audio under the software player...
