    unable to remove divx file

I recently d/l a divx avi file (or so it's says it is) and I am unable to remove it from my hard drive. Nothing will play it, including the latest Divx bundle. When I try to delete it, I get a message that it is being used by another user or program.

    I'm running winXP.

I have tried to remove as adminstrator, will all other users logged out, and all posible programs closed. No luck.

Anyone else experianed such a problem? Any suggestions?

One more thing, ussually, when I click on it or try to remove it or veiw it's properties, it sucks up 100% of my processor and I have to reset.

    Help!

Open the folder that contains the file you want to delete. Select Tools->'Folder Options' and select 'Use Windows clasic folders'. Click OK, and delete the file.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

Forcefully close it using the Task Manager -> Processes -> mplayer2.exe (-> End Process).

As to the original problem, restarting and then deleting the offending file usually works.
