    Subtitling with VirtualDub

    hi there,

I encoded my movie with FlaskMPEG to DIVX and I would like to add now the subtitles. I have ripped them Vobsub in VirtualDub but I don't know how to save the file?

Should I compress it again (as Virtual Dub asks?) or it doesn't matter because I already have done so?

    thanks

To permanently add the subs to the avi file, you have to encoded it again. But If this is what you want, I don't see why you didn't just add the subs in flask.

Of course IMHO it's much better, not to add the subs the avi file. Just rip the subs with vobsub and use DirectVobsub to display the subs durring playback.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
