    vob files to cd-r

    hello,
I have small vob files of dolbi trailers (each one is about 30 mega).
I wish to put them on cd-r and play them on my dvd player.
I want to keep them as vob files so I will enjoy the 5.1 surround.
    Is it possible?

    "Is it possible?"

Nope. Standalone DVD players won't recogniize .VOB files on CD-R media...

      I read an article in a computer-magazin, that describes a "MINI-DVD".
All you have to do is to imitate the architectur of the DVD-File system. Use the same standard folder ("VIDEO_TS") for your vob-files (be sure you have IFO-files for your vobs) and create the standard-folder "AUDIO_TS" (no matter, if you have no files for the folder, leave him empty!). Now you have to burn the DVD in "UDF/ISO9660 mode1" format.
The article said that they are a few StandAlone-Player arround, that can handle those "MINI-DVDs". But you have to experiment, if your DVD-Player can handle them, too.

There are VERY FEW standalone DVD players that will recognize Mini-DVDs...

Yes, sure there are very few players, which can handle those "MINI-DVDs".
My Philips wasn`t able, too, but a friend has an "ELTA 8891 DVD" (Low cost stand alone) who is able to handle those CDR`s.
