how can i rip the music from a dvd??

Hallo, i'm a newbie and i have a problem
i have a dvd from michael jackson history and i only need a little pice(??) of music from this dvd .....
i hope someone can help me to get this little thing

You can always use a DVD audio extractor to rip the audio off the DVD. Graphedit or Vob2audio will do the job well.

However, if you are thinking of ripping the music without the vocals (or anything else that are parts of the original track), I'm afraid that will be a hard task to accomplish.

if your soundcard has the option to record what in here in its audio control panel you can use a program to record like Musicmatch

to record the audio as the dvd is playing
