PCTV and Nimo50Build7

I found that the vobsub2.12/directvobsub2.12 section of nimo50-7 interfers with operation of the pinnacle 5.1 software. without going to deep into my hardware, has anybody else experiance this? duron950,rage,k7s5a,256mg,win98se. besides that the card works fine, tv/capture camcord. do i really need the vobsub 2.12?
