    Sound problem with DivX movies

    hi ppl!
I have several divx movies and I also have an anoying problem with them all.

when I try to watch them I hear the sound coming before the picture, and that makes the movie too boring to watch.

anyone that knows where the problem is or where I can find a program that fix this problem?

    thx in advance!

What is the speed of your CPU? It is strange that you are having a problem with ALL your movies and hence I suspect it's your CPU being too slow.

      Hi,
I have the same problem with a movie in AVI format.
Sound is always a couple of seconds ahead, constantly, no matter which Player I use...
I have a 1GHz Prozessor, which should be enough, because a friend uses a 600Mhz Prozessor and he doesn't have that Problem...
Any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it?
      Thanks

as enchanter said, it's strange that ALL the movies have that problem, and it may be something to do with your system

but have you tried using 'virtualdub' to delay the audio so that it plays at the correct time? check out the excellent guides on this site:-

go to 'home' at the top of this page, select divx digest, then click on 'articles' on the left of the page

          thx alot for the help!

I downloaded Nimo's codec pack and it fixed the problem for me.
I don't know how, but it did it.

          thx again!

btw, my CPU speed is 600 Mhz.
