subtitles continued.... how do I add subtitles to a downloaded divx movie

how do I add subtitles to a downloaded divx movie?
I downloaded the subtitles for the movie avalon at subtitles.net , but it is a txt file.
can i add this to a divx movie using vobsub or do i need other soft?
