Issues Flashing DVD/CDR Combo Toshiba SD R-2212

Hi - Having flashed the above dvd.cdrw combo unit to disable region coding - the drive reboots machine whenever disk is inserted (cd or dvd).

Checked region coding and has not changed either.

Have followed instructions to the letter.

Has anybody else had success with this drive?

or at the worst:

Is the action reversible?
