i've been downloading Divx and Xvid movies from Emule. some of them come with .subs, or i have to download from another site. the problem is; i'm trying to add permanent subtitles, using VirtualDub, Vobsub, and TMPgnc. i've been reading and rereading the useful guides, but for some reason, every single movie i have only comes with the .sub file. they don't come with the .idx file that should've been written by Vobsub (i know if i ripped the movies themselves, it would've been easier). but i can't seem to find a way how to create an .idx file, or to download them.
basically, i just want to be able to add these darn subtitles the most painless way so i can burn the movie onto SVCD (maybe using a different method, that doesn't require me to have the .idx file)
any help is appreciated!!
