    3 AC3 tracks found??

After loading flask,a window pops up,(Stream Selector) and says 3 AC3 streams were found:-
    Video Tracks found
    MPEG video track 0xE0

    Audio Tracks(s) found

AC3 audio track 0x80 in main track 0xBD
AC3 audio track 0x83 in main track 0xBD
AC3 audio track 0x82 in main track 0xBD

    in that order.

I selected the 1st track,it's left me with very low audio and a high level of static...

    What to do now?cheers.

it is not unusaul to have 3 or more ac3 streams

ech language will have one and not seldom will you find even 2-3 ac3 for one language e.g.:

    0x80 english 5.1 channels
    0x81 english 2.0 channels
0x82 english 2.0 channels directors comment

    you get the idea?

any decent tool will let you play those files to be able to decide which one to go for.

i wouldnt consider flask a decent tool though

you could simply extract ALL your soundfiles and listen to them and then convert the one you like/need.

        the steps would be these:

        - dvd2avi will extract the ac3 files
        - besweetgui will let you *preview* and convert them
        - nandub/virtualdubMOD will let you merge/mux the new mp3 file with the video you made with flask

for a detailed desription, click on my upper anigif and take a look at my guide.

the DVD2AVI part can be found here at 2. :

here is a description how to use BESWEETGUI:

in the above tutorial i describe how to get an OGG file, but selecting MP3 as output format will make no difference

the MUXING part (i.e. joining audio + video) is described in the above tutorial too or look here:

OK,thx,FWIW,I was able to preview and extract the wav with FLASK,I have tried using dvd2avi,its too involved,FLASK has offered me all i feel i need at present,I'll try a mux and see how i go.

Are virtdub and nandub not the same?
