    What is "MSVCR70.dll"?????

Ok, so I am trying desperately to get a codec for XviD, but no matter what I try to install, I repeatedly get the message "The application has failed to start because MSVCR70.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I have tried re-installing many of the programs, however, I still got the same message....Please help me!!!

It's part of a Microsoft Visual Basic Library. You can download the file from:

Download d3dx9_41.dll free! Fix DLL missing error. Solve it yourself or get help using DLL‑files.com Client to fix DLL error automatically.

Put the unzipped file into your Windows\System directory - then reboot your system...

            open up "my computer"
C: (or the drive windows is installed on)
            windows (or win98/similar)
            __________________________________________________ _

            open up another "my computer"
unzipped, or wherever you put the unzipped file to.
            highlight the .dll
hold ctrl + c and let go.
click on the other "windows" folder
            click on the white space
hold ctrl +v and let go.
once the file has been copied over there, reboot your computer.
