Total beginner can't get based first base

Ok sorry to be a total pain I am trying to be able to see my PC on the TV so I can watch movies.

I have plugged in my cable from the graphics card (ASUS ti4600) to TV. What should I do next?

I seem to remember using a projector with my laptop and all i had to do was hit something like alt and f5/f6.

please would someone come and help...and give me some nice basic instructions.

    Yours gratefully

You need to put the TV-out on your graphics card in clone mode.

This is usually done in 'Control panel'->settings->advanced.

I'am not exactly sure how it works on the Gforce4. On my Gforce2 I go to the Gforce2 tab, select Nview and check clone mode.

You might also want to checkout TVTool which may dramatically improve video playback for you.

Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

Ok I got it sorted now, next problem when i play a movie i can see it on the monitor but not on the TV it is just black. I would prefer to resolve this without installing any other programs if possible.

        Thanks in advance

        p.s Thanks very much KHP
