Still Pictures From DVD's

Hello,

Have just purchased my first pc with dvd rom and wondered if there is a way to extract still images from the film.

If this is a common request I'd be grateful for links to pages to read up on it or advice on any software packages that allow you to do it.

If you are using WinDVD as your software DVD player, simply press the "p" key to capture a screen...

[SKD_Tech]

Most all DVD capable playing software are able to do a "Frame Capture" such as WinDVD (as setarip said) Power DVD etc...

Hi - thanks for this info.

I thought this would be the case - seemed a fairly obvious thing to want to be doing.

My problem was a basic copy of win dvd (oem) version that came with the notebook.

Will look at upgrading as this will give me the function you are both describing.
