PC TV OUT -> Widescreen TV using ati card

Hi,

I want to connect my PC with ATI RADEON 7000/VE running winxp pro to the widescreen tv, so that I can watch 16:9 aspect ratio DIVX movies without black strips at the top and bottom of the monitor.

The ATI card has a video out which i can connect to one of the SCART inputs of the TV.

Does anyone know if it is possible using ATI card to playback a divx movie on a widescreen(aspect ratio 16:9) tv? Can the TV OUT of ATI card output wide screen picture format, so that the whole tv screen is filled and the picture is not distorted?? Is there some special drivers or software to do so?

Try ZOOMPLAYER or BSPLAYER.

You should be able to set up your TV to throw away the top and bottom of the picture.

So when your card outputs to 4:3 the black lines would be chopped of
