buring a dvd (avi)

Can someone please pm me or put me on their buddy list and walk me through burning a movie? I have it downloaded, I have a dvd burner and I have the blank dvd. Afte that, I am totally lost.
PLEASE HELP ME !

There are lots of people out here more then willing to help, but i'm affraid i dont understand the question

You are talking about a DVD-burner and DVD blank disk yet your subject says something about AVI

So can you please be more specific in your question

What is it exactly you are trying to achieve
