    AVI Problems

    Hey Guys...

    I have 2 problems:

    1. i can't cut an AVI file into 2 parts, because everytime I do it, then the audio goes out of sync (Well, it's not everytime, but it's most of the films I want to cut. I use VirtualDub 1.5.4).
Now, when I say the audio goes out of sync I mean it, but everytime that I fast forward the part which I cut. If I let it playback without touching it, then the audio is synchronized well. But, again, it's only out of sync when I fast forwars or rewind it!!!
    How can I fix it???

    2. How can I add all the types of subtitles to a movie??? (I use acouple of subtitles format, like *.srt, *.sub, *.TXT ETC..)

    Thanx Guys

try other (similar) tools for the cutting:

    nandub or better virtualdubMOD

i prefer srt subs which i add to my mpeg4 stream into an OGM container.

otherwise subs could be auto-loaded when the have the same name as the movie itself.
    e.g.:

    matrix.avi
    matrix.sub

or load the subtiles optionally to your video with players like bsplayer

I've had that fastforward out of sync problem on AVIs and MPGs, too, though it is not consistent. So, I wonder, is it related to processor and memory issues, rather than to the software?
