    Jerky Video

Hey guys, I've managed to rip a couple of dvd's to cd with success. These play great on my P4 using XP through WMP. When I try to play them on my P2 using W98 they seem to be jerky(video) and the audio is slightly out of synch.

Would this simply be a case of the P2 not having enough memory, or may this have something to do with the resoloution I saved them at?

    Thanks for your continued support.

More likely, not a fast enough CPU...

    Try the following:

    1) Turn off any unnecessary programs running in the background

    2) Reduce the DESKTOP resolution (NOT video resolution) to, perhaps, 640x480

    3) Reduce the DESKTOP colordepth (NOT video colordepth) to, perhaps, 256 colors

Probably a dumb question but where do I set the desktop Res. and color depth? (Not rightclick on desktop is it?)

Why don't you try it and find out yourself? It takes only a few seconds.

Kinda already did that.. I don't see why setarip stressed the fact that the desktop setting had to be changed then.. isnt that what most people would do?? Anyway.. I'll only be at home this evening again to try if this Final Des ac3 will play.. thanks.
