converting divx to vcd with subtitles

    Hi, there!

I have lots of divx films and I want to convert them mpeg for VCD with subtitles. How can I add subs to mpeg files?

    thanks...

    what format are ths subs?

i'd convert them to srt and then use dvd2svcd to convert the avi to vcd/svcd

dvd2svcd can load extrernal SRT files and integrate them

Even if it might take longer than other programs, i found very effective to encode the movie with gordian knot first, putting as selected resolution: VCD, and adding the subs at the same time (it can be srt. or idx.). That way you wont lose any of the borders of the movie when you transcode it to a vcd resolution, which is a full screen. Then you just encode it to mpeg-1 using tmpgenc.

I cant do with dvd2svcd. I think TMPGencoder has a problem or dvd2svcd doesnt support TMPGenc ver.2.513.53.162-free...

now Im gonna try with gordian knot ...
