Conversion of VHS tapes to DVD. Help.

I will be acquiring a DVD burner soon and wish to convert VHS tapes to DVD's.

Any suggestions regarding the best route/routes to take would be appreciated.

As a first time poster, you may not be aware of the great "Search" function available at these forums.

Just click on the "Search" tab near the top of this page (between "Home" and "User CP") and type "VHS"...

I was able to convert my 60+ 8hr VHS tape library and a lot of vhs movies with at least as-good-as quality as the original tape using the Dazzle DVC-150. In the Dazzle forum we had an active group of members, and developed methods and proceedures to not only do this with quality but fast, too (like taking raw capture to TMPGenc DVD Author and the VOBs to DVDShrink for sizing (capture files are MPEG2...a lot smaller than AVI). But Pinnacle just bought Dazzle...and they announced they'll be closing the forum 31August...and all this knowledge of 8+ months of cumulative effort will dissappear when the threads go.
