No 5.1 Surround!

I have Soundblaster 5.1 Live! DE as well as DTT 3500 DIGITAL speakers n amplifier both are dolby digital decoders but i never get surround sound in divx DVD ripped movies . can n e one tell me the appropriate codec to download for this n wat setting duz my soundcard require (if any)

P.S - OS = Windows 98 SE

by surround you mean a third channel mapped to rear speakers? I've both 5.1 player and audigy and I've never heard surround into 2-channels audio compressed movies..
except if audio is ac3 or ogg multichannel.

btw, has somebody tried the alternative driver for all emu10kx based sound card from kX project?
