    depending on the type of mpeg format you have, virtualdub could be of use.

      You can also use TMPGEnc (File>>Output to file>>AVI file)

        Thans for your info guys.... But I loaded the a south park eps. and I did what you said to do setarip But I get this error message :This video source can not be outputted. Does anybody know why?

            Yes I have them installed but that did not do anything.

                I have south park episodes and I wanted to convert them to avi. They are mpeg right now. They are dark and I want to make them birghter.

                  "MPEG" is not enough information to help you. If it is MPEG-1 than you can open it with virtualDUB/nandub. MPEG-2 can be opened with DVD2AVI or other programms that convert DVD-video to avi.
