    audio

Hello! I am a newbie, not only to this forum, but to digital video in general. I have a question concerning DVD's. Is it possible to convert the audio portions of a DVD to MP3? Is this process simple? I also wish to know what software I would need. I appreciate any help on this subject. Thanks in advance.

    Yes.

    "Is this process simple?"

It is not hard to learn. Here are the basic steps on getting it done:
    1) Extract the audio to uncompressed .wav file using Graphedit or BeSweet.
    2) If you wish, you can amplify the volume of the audio using an audio editor, such as Cooledit.
    3) Convert the .wav file to .mp3 using one of the many available MP3 encoders. LAME is highly recommended.

Have fun with your little project. Just return here and ask away should you encounter more 'concerns'.

        Cheers.

You can use DVD Audio Ripper - it's a software name. Extract DVD audio tracks to MP3 or wav format. Easy and quick. You don't need to use other software at all! download here: https://www.imtoo-dvd-ripper.com/dow...dio-ripper.exe
