VHS to VCD

Is it possible to transfer VHS movies to my computer using my WinTV video capture card? What software is available to do this? Any help is appreciated, Cheers from Ireland

well ur card probably captures in avi format use virtual dub / divx 5.1 for that reason and ull get good quality divx encoded file.

if ur card can do capture in any mpeg format then u may get a mpeg file that ull use to make ur vcd/svcds.
