    NERO: transcoding of videos failed

suppose this is one of those stupid newbie wuestions. I searched for an answer on 'transcoding failed' but got no results....

I have made a movie with Pinnacle Studio 7 (version 7.13) and have saved it as an MPEG by chosing the option: 'dvd compatible' (the settings then are: MPEG-2, 720x576, 6000 KBit/sec, audio: mpeg-2, 48KHz, 224 KBit/sec).

The completed movie is picked up by NERO vision express (2.0.1.2). Within a few seconds of pressing the 'burn' button (to an image after I wasted two dvd's on this) I get an error message:

    Transcoding of videos failed.

Suppose it is something simple I'm doing wrong but.... what...???

There should be no further transcoding required, as you've already created DVD-compliant MPEG-2 files.

I'd suggest that you use TMPGEnc DVD Author (instead of NERO Vision) to create and burn your DVD "package'...

      Setarip,

Thanks for the advice. Am in the 30 day trial phase with TMPGEnc. It's easy to use and the difference with nero... TMPGEnc works.
