    tmpgenc

    have just down loaded video clip,dvdscr/xvidwith dvl codec,when trying to encode with tmpgenc,there is no sound,have changed the environment settings around but still nothing,it plays on the windows media player ok, thanks for any help anyone ...

    I assume the clip plays with sound before you try encoding? When you load the clip into TMPGenc does it show up in the Video Source AND Audio Source windows of TMPGenc's main screen? If the clip IS identified as the audio source we may need to convert it to .mp2 to get it to process. Answer these questions and I'll walk you through the conversion process.

      Yes it plays before,Yes when I load it into TMPGenc it shows up in audio,and Video..

          To convert the audio stream let's try this first...load clip in and under "stream type" click "ES Audio Only" and hit "start". This should give you an .mp2 file (click on it and see if it plays...if it does reload the clip...make sure the audio stream is the .mp2 and it should process. If this doesn't work we'll have to demultiplex. Let us know of your progress.
