      Get the latest version of TMPGEnc, ensure that you have the VFAPI plugin installed, it is crucial. Tell us about the area of your video. Does the avi file play properly?

        thanks for the response.

        it appears that i have the necessary tools it's just that when i go to open the file it won't accept it.

        for your information the avi file plays perfectly on the pc.

        i will go back and re-install the tools and try again, would still appreciate the assistance.

            batman,

            when i try to open an avi file with tmpge it says 'file can not open or unsupported'.

            the file plays fine with correct audio and video and video via media player.

            i have tried using virtualdub etc. but still seem to be left confronted with the same problem.

              Did you check your audio type by loading the file in virtualdub (this is a software that is free and available at divx-diges.com) , where you confronted by a message (e.g. contains VBR mp3)?

                Roxio VideoPack5 this is a VCD SVCD DVD authoring tool
                any .AVI file in to VCD etc...give it a go and as iv'e told setarip many a time make's hard work easy..

                  have now binned morpheus and am using direct connect to find
