MP4S decompressor?? Help

am still battling with my ASF decoding. a small clip Im' suposed to look at to inspire me for my next job, sure easier said than done.
I now have VirtualDub with the ASF facility, now VD tells me I do not have the MP4S decompressor installed ????

please someone, help me out of this nightmare LOL, have searched the Net, no results

Don't be insulted, but are you sure it didn't say "MP42" or "MP43"?

If so, you can either obtain those Microsoft codecs in one of the many codec "packs" at DVD Digest/DivX Digest and other sites...

definitively says "MP4S", went to check again, am starting to doubt my eyes and my sanity LOL
am using VirtualDub 13c_ASF_Modified by Avery Lee
downloaded it from DivX Digest along with the latest Codec packages
Of course the ones that sent it to me are not too sure how they compress it and the original is gone, the logic behind it was "she has it so we dont' need it anymore" and Im' left holding the baby I need to decompress it in order to bring into Premiere and get the bits I want to keep.
I can view it no problems in MP7 and MP8.

It apparently is part of either the Open DivX codec group or the DivX v.4.xx group. Once again, this should be available in one of the many codec packs or:

Did you really manage to open your MP4S video with VirtualDub ? I tried the same way but I still have this error message !

Can you explain a bit more how you did ? Thanx !
