    Dvd Plays Black Screen.....help!!!

    Hello All
I hope someone can give me some help with the following
    problem.

I just replace my old Toshiba DVD Rom with a newer
Toshiba m1712 DVD ROM on my old work horse XPS450=^)

The Old Horse uses a cinemaster C1.2 Decoder Card and Ravensent Player.

I like using this older Ravensent set-up due to being able
to use the Old Crack-Hack Region Code breaking patch.
My video device is a GF2 MX 400.

    Here is my problem.

The DVD install went with out any problems. When I
play a dvd. The audio plays and the counters work properly, but the video window is black.

I found one troubleshooting idea that effects cinemaster 3.0
when installing a new device. In which case you can just
go to "settings" and change the DVD picture brightness
setting back to defaults. Apparently the new device changes
the picture brightness setting to "0".

My problem is my version setting menu has every setting
    tab but picture=^(

So I am guessing there is another way to fix this problem
or maybe there might be something else at work here.

"ANY" idea's from the group would be a help.

A BIG THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!;^)

Try lowering the color depth (If it's 32bit, lower to 24bit or 16bit)
