freeware downloads for MPEG to VCD??

    Hi,
My name is Max, and I am very new to the world of making VCDs, well actually computers in general.

I need help finding a freeware/shareware program that will burn a movie I downloaded from Kazaa to a VCD(don't worry, it's not pirated material... it's a home video from a long-distance friend that I was able to get using Kazaa's supernode option). The file is in MPEG format and is saved on my hard drive.

My computer's specs are (I don't know what they really mean, but I seem to get asked what they are a lot when asking questions ):
    Windows XP
    athlon 2100+
    512 mb
    80 gb

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Max T

If the MPG is already at 352x240 resoultion, chances are you can just burn it as a Video CD in nero, and it will work. If that's not the case then:

    Try TMPGEnc available at www.tmpgenc.net
