    Acceptable number of dropped frames?

What would be considered an acceptable number of dropped frames in a 2½ hour home movie?
I realise opinions would differ somewhat but I'm trying to get a minimum and maximum.

I'm assuming you're talking about putting your video onto dvd. When capturing I get no dropped frames capturing to mpeg2 using ATI AIW pro 9000 with ATI MMC. With home movies if I got any dropped frames I would capture to avi and encode seperately. As "MPS" stated the less the better. Dropped frames equal less quality.

          Thanks MPS and tigerman8u .

My first attempt was to copy a VHS taken from the TV (55 days to Peking) which produced 6900 dropped frames!
Changed the Firewire cable which came with the DAC-100 and got down to about 100.

Still trying to learn, and finding it fun but quite demanding. trouble is that in many instances it's a metter of simply trying things out and seeing the result.

I appreciate all the help I'm getting
