    could not perform end of burn (DVD)

    I am new to this and I am struggling to work out why I am having problems when burning discs.

    I keep getting "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once" messagae when i burn A DVD+R disc. But have no such problems when I use a DVD+RW disc.

    I have nero 6.0.0.15 , a Pioneer dvd burner and use memorex DVD's. I have burned the discs at both speeds but have not managed to get the DVD+R to finish but get success with the DVD+RW.

    Any Suggestions thanks .

    Update your Nero - it's free;

    Nero Upgrade Center - Comparez nos produits Nero ! Mise à niveau vers la dernière version ✓ Aperçu de tous les produits Nero ✓ Caractéristiques ►Mise à niveau maintenant !

    You could also see if there is any firmware updates for your burner.

    What brand of discs do you use?

      thanks for the reply cynthia

      i use MEMOREX cd's and dvd's I don't have a problem with any dvd+_rw disc's that i use, they store the information with no problem but can't get the dvd+r to do the same. The burner is brand new only had PC for a couple of months. To try and sort out the problem I have slowed down the burn rate from 4x to 2x but still the problem exists. all discs are new and never been used before still in wrappers. :

        Even if you have a new burner there can be a new firmware that better allow you to burn without errors.

        Here is a page with firmwares;

            Although it gives you the error message, don't throw them away too quickly, they may still play.

              maybe the DVD+R is a little bit smaller then should be
              make size Target DVD a bit smaller and try again,

                  Perhaps you could post the error log from Nero. If you didn't saved it - you find it in this location;

                  C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.log
