Divx 4.12 Codec problem

I am a complete newbie, just started to divx. I followed the FlaskMPEG guide from divx-digest to the tee. When I select the Divx4.12 codec from the 'Select Output' >'Configure output' window, and I flask, I get audio, but no picture. I have downloaded and installed the 4.12 codecs, opened the movie and viewed. When I choose the Divx MPEG4 Low Motion codec, the encoding works. Can anyone tell me how to make the 4.12 codec work??

And what are you output configurations? It would help a lot if you can describe the settings you're using...

My settings using the 4.12 coded:
Variable bit rate: 2-pass, second pass
Performance/quality: slowest
bitrage: 627
Max CPU use: 100%
Decoding parameters: lowest

For your 2-pass encoding, have you specified the log file to be used (in the same configuration window) and actually done the first pass yet?

If you are going to use the 2 pass method, you have to do the '2 pass first pass' and then do the '2 pass second pass' You must do both passes. The 1st pass creates the log file that the second pass will use. That's why the 2 pass method takes twice as long...DUH!
