    need help with capturing

    Hi
    ok i'm new to this i bought an ati tv wonder ve, i trying to capturing the movie from my camcorder to my hd using unlead studio 8 and virtualdub but for some reason it lags the frame drop. can some 1 plz help thanks . Oh i have a amd 1.15 ghz 256 of ram thanks again

    Try using a "lossless" video codec such as HuffyUV (You can always compress the video in VirtualDub after you've successfully captured it)...

        1) Have you tried the method I've suggested? It will eliminate your "dropped frames" issue

        2) Why are you seeking "another way"?

          i trying downloadinginstalling huffuv but it say it can only run on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, or 2000 and i have xp, thanks for your time

            You are mistaken - V.2.1 works very well, thankyou, with XP...

            Download the Huffyuv, a loss less compression codec

              ummm i followed the intruction on the huffyuv (right click the inf file) and i dont see anything after that, am i missing something? thanks again

                After re-booting your system, when you set up VirtualDub for capturing, you should now see the HuffyUV codec available as one of the listed video codecs...
