    two newbie questions...

    Hi,

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. I've got 2 questions that shouldn't be too taxing.

    1) I recently bought an Asian DVD, decrypted it and shrunk it to fit on one -R disk. The odd thing is that on some settop DVD players it works fine. On others, there aren't any subtitles. I've gone through the setup settings on players that won't show subtitles w/o success. I should also point out that the other settop players belong to friends; I'm not hawking this movie.

    2) If I wanted to burn the movie to 2 disks, how? Do I have to edit the IFO file? Can I just burn all the non-VOB files and half the VOBs to each disk?

Thanks again, hope this isn't a redundant post.

    1) Obviously not a problem of the burned disc - Use player's remote control to select subtitles

    2) Use DVDFab

For what it's worth I figured it out. I can see the subtitles when the player is set to 16:9 and not when it's at 4:3. Must've got lost in the pan & scan.

Also found that IFOedit will split & reformat the VOBs to 2 disks.

      Happy New Year,

      -Steve G
