    extracting audio

i'm new here, so hi everyone. i'd like some advice please. i have a video i captured from vhs that i want to put on dvd. the problem is the audio has a hiss. what i'd like to do is extract the audio, remove the hiss in my audio editing software, then reassemble it with the video (and hope it's not out of sync). besides tmpgenc, do any of you know how i can do this? or does anyone know of software that will remove hiss from mpeg2 files.

    thanks!!!!

Any particular reason you DON'T want to use TMPGEnc's very easy-to-use "Simple DeMultiplex" tool to extract the audio stream?

You could run the MPEG2 file through Flask (and set it to save the audio as a separate stream), or you could use virtually any DVD authoring program to demultiplex this MPEG2 file.
