I have a movie that I accidentally only recorded the dolby 5.1 surround sound. I can hear it on PowerDVD 6.0, but cannot on Nero Showplayer (the latest). Can you tell me how I can recode or copy it on a dvd disc with the sound track changed to the standard stereo or dolby 2 channels?

By far the easiest route would be to re-rip the original .. and I couldn't begin to suggest how you could convert.
Is there not a soundtrack selector in Showplayer?This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering! -
Thank you for your message. I cannot re-rip the dvd because it is damaged (that's why I tried the copy), and I cannot find the track selector in Nero. I did discover that my version is OEM and not the full retail version, and Nero said if I want to have the multichannel plugin, I need to buy the serial no to unlock the function. If you happen to know any other way to convert the 5.1 audio track to the standard one, please let me know. I saw some websites that say it will give you free serial nos of softwares, but when you try to enter the website without letting it put a cookie on you, there seems to be no serial nos. In any case, thank you for your help.Comment

I have downloaded and installed the AC3 filter from SourceForge but it does not enable me to hear the soundtrack from the Nero ShowPlayer, or Nero Express to burn it. Do I need to do anything to configure Nero?Comment
