How do i edit mpeg2?

can any 1 recommend a good user freindly application that i could use to cut a large mpeg2 file into smaller chuncks for use in Dvd author? i wish 2 cut the mpeg up then use each bit as a chapter.

How large is your mpeg2?
If you're talking of TMPGEnc DVD Author it will happily cut pieces out and put chapter marks where you wish?

If you just want chapters, you don't need to cut video.
Tmpgenc dvd author, as well as most other decent authoring apps, will put chapters wherever you want, no cutting needed.

thx 4 the warm welcome. I am using Tmpgenc dvd author. I have tried creating chapters but when i exit the "edit chapter" screen, only 1 chapter shows up in the "source setup" window.
is ther a good tutorial available on how to create chapters with out having 2 cut mpeg file up with Tmpgenc dvd author?

I must get round to looking into it more deeply when I reinstall, but can't you spare just one frame at the beginning or end of a scene just to make a chapter?

When you are in the "Edit Chapter" screen, select (If I remember correctly) "Add new chapters"...
