dvd wont play on computer

I copied a dvd using dvdencrypt then used dvdshrink and finally burned with Nero- It plays fine on my standalone home unit but will not play either on my home computer or laptop- What am I doing wrong- Thanks

If it works on your standalone then it should play fine on your computer.
Does it play on the burner? If not, have you got a software DVD player eg WinDVD/PowerDVD? Even Windows Media Player should do it in its recent versions.

Your laptop might simply not like the brand and/or type of media you're using.
