    Problems playing AVI on quicktime

I am getting the response ...

    - " Quicktime is missing software required to display this movie file. Unfortunatly, it is not available on the Quicktime server. "

... when I try to play a few of my AVI files that I downloaded from the internet. I can play some of them using MSN Media Player but not all. What type of codecs do I need to fix this problem?

You should just use Windows Media Player to play your AVI files. It natively supports many video formats (excepting, of course, Real media and Quicktime). If you haven't got a DivX codec installed, you won't definitely be able to play DivX-compressed AVI files.
